Skydiving

My first post with Kim of All Trades is a hard but rewarding experience for me. I have struggled with my constant change of activities throughout the years. I wondered why I would change jobs, hobbies, and clothing styles every couple of months. I then realized through this I am able to have adventures and tell others about the crazy experiences, helping them decide if they want to do it also.

Memories are the best souvenir for experiences, so now it is time to get some souvenir’s.

Skydiving!

Media and People that brought me to Skydiving –

First of all Travis wanted me to go skydiving, and had been begging me for some time. I was then reading, Everyday a Friday by Joel Osteen, and this quote jumped out at me.

“Have you ever been lying in bed in the morning and out of nowhere you’re reminded of all the mistakes you made yesterday and all the problems in your future.”

I was reminded of all the times I had said No, and how after I felt sad that I had almost “chickened out” of these memories with friends and family. That is when I took on the, Yes Man, strategy (If you haven’t seen Yes Man, the plot – You Miss out on life when you say no to adventures that you are too scared or nervous about trying, and also to get out of ruts that you might be in)! I do add a little to myself saying Yes, as in the thing must be Moral, Ethical, and Law Abiding.

Lastly, I had the fear of Skydiving because I have a huge fear of heights. That is when I was moving through instagram and say this quote, “We do not fear the unknown. we fear what we think we know about the unknown.” Teal Swan was right, I was scared of what I thought I knew about skydiving, but I didn’t actually know.

Here is my Skydiving Video, and you can see my shaking and nerves there. Feel free to laugh everytime I am being interviewed…  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVoCaII89M4

What I learned –

pros       – you don’t lose your stomach like a rollercoaster, because it is a natural fall

-beautiful, I mean breathtaking views

-trained individuals are with you the whole way and know what they are doing

cons       – everything leading up to the dive, I mean everything.

Overall Thoughts –

I will be going skydiving again…Travis and I would like to skydive more, but as this was 3 years ago and we still haven’t done it again, we have no clue when it will be. If you want to skydive, I recommend taking the plunge. Hopefully your before will be smoother after hearing my experience and what I went through.

Thank you for joining me today, and feel free to leave your comments on this post. I would love to hear what you have to say. Also, if you have any adventures or ideas that are Moral, Ethical, and Law Abiding, you can count me in. Till next time, I’m Kim of All Trades.
